I think they should somehow tie the CCJF into a food festival as well. Consider having one of the venues outdoors. It was so crowded in some of the venues that you couldn’t find a good vantage point unless you got there early or purchased VIP tickets. The venues were too packed in some cases we had to wait outside the building until the next set came on. This way, they can better figure out what size venues to utilize. They need to do a better job in predicting the head count, what the turn-out will be. Here are some suggestions/observations of this 2012 event: - The CCJF should have more promotions across social media, blogs, full paper newspaper ads, etc. This was the inaugural CCJF so I am sure the coordinators will learn as they go. The Jazz Festival was spread out over a 9 hour period at four venues with multiple bands playing at Fergie’s Pub, Time Restaurant, MilkBoy Philadelphia, and Chris’ Jazz Café. Through determination, hard work and a successful Kickstarter campaign, Ernest was able to raise a little over $ 17, 000 to make this Jazz Fest a reality.
